As a youth growing up in Oakland, CA, I attended both public and private elementary schools and quickly became aware of the systemic inconsistencies between the two. Later, I was fortunate to be accepted into a college-preparatory school, where I saw what true opportunity looked like up close. The difference wasn’t intelligence or talent—it was access: to resources, to mentorship, to safety. Most of all, it was a belief system that told students their dreams were not only valid—but expected.
Outside the classroom, I found confidence and connection through youth baseball. Competing alongside kids from all walks of life, I watched fathers volunteer as coaches, becoming motivators and role models to many kids who lacked father figures in their own lives. Parents supported all the players and made us feel special. I felt part of a community and built bonds that still exist to this day.
A family trip to Nigeria during my childhood widened my perspective even further. I met peers who were just as curious and full of potential—but lacked even the most basic opportunities. It made me deeply aware of the many privileges I had taken for granted, and I developed a greater sense of appreciation and responsibility.
Opportunity Orchard was born from this mix of lived experience, gratitude, and purpose. I’ve seen what happens when youth are given access to enriching programs that spark creativity, build confidence, and support their academic and emotional growth. I’ve also seen the cost of missed opportunity—of talent left undiscovered, and potential left unrealized.
This work isn’t theoretical for me. It’s personal. It’s about giving young people today what I was given as a youth—an opportunity.

About Me:
Education & Training
After studying and earning a degree in Economics from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, I made it my mission to return to the Bay Area and implement the strategies I learned into the community I came from.
I began my career as a Treasury Analyst, managing investor reporting and analyzing securities data used to price and forecast trends in the secondary mortgage market. Driven by an entrepreneurial spirit, I went on to establish my own independent real estate brokerage, where for over two decades I’ve helped individuals, families, and investors navigate the housing market with confidence and care.
Over the years, I’ve earned a reputation as a trusted, results-driven Broker with deep market insight and a steadfast commitment to client success. That same commitment extends into property management, where I work closely with housing providers to manage diverse rental portfolios—ensuring quality housing and long-term stability for tenants.
My career reflects not only a deep understanding of market dynamics, but also the systemic barriers that too often limit access for underserved communities. That perspective fuels my passion for equity and opportunity—especially through initiatives like Opportunity Orchard, where I draw on my background in housing, finance, and strategic growth to help level the playing field for youth and families in need.
